Fighting for Child Advocacy
Dannielle Kostrab-Boyd (MSW '99, Social Work) Child Advocate Center program coordinator at Sexual Assault Services of Calhoun County (SAS) is the recipient of the Michigan Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence’s ‘2012 Seedling Award.
She was honored for her outstanding advocacy for children who are victims of sexual assault or domestic violence. Kostrab-Boyd provides therapy for survivors of sexual assault of all ages, and has specific talents for working with children and families.
A therapist with SAS since 1998, “Dannielle’s commitment to survivors, and in particular her strong dedication to child victims has led to the development of the Child Advocacy Center program in our county,” said Joyce Siegel, SAS program director. “She embodies the most outstanding qualities necessary for assisting survivors.”
