Michigan—Gets Their Bronco!

The University of Michigan filled its vacated football head coaching position this past week by hiring Brady Hoke. Hoke, the former WMU assistant football coach, replaces Rich Rodriguez who was relieved of his duties after a 15-22 record with the Wolverines. Ironically — one of the other three “rumored” finalists for the job — also had ties to Western Michigan University. Jim Harbaugh — whose dad Jack was the Broncos’ head coach from 1982 – 1986 and brother John a WMU alum (College of Education and Human Development), and an assistant coach on his dad’s staff — took the head coaching job with the San Francisco 49ers. Brady Hoke, who the Wolverines eventually hired — was also a member of  Jack Harbaugh’s coaching staff at WMU — coaching the Broncos’ defensive line from 1984-1986.
