Development & Alumni Relations
The Office of Development & Alumni Relations was established to serve anyone who desires a deeper relationship with Western Michigan University. Within our office, we work to increase pride in the University while carrying out the important task of meeting the University’s philanthropic goals to provide a quality, affordable, state-of-the-art education for student Broncos.
Our website, MyWMU.com
, was established to become a personalized connection for alumni and friends of Western Michigan University. Here you can read exciting stories about alumni and University successes
, learn about events and experiences
, or make a gift to any area of the University you choose
. We also have a Concierge Card program
that offers local and national benefits and services for cardholders.
Within our office we work to raise funds for scholarships, study abroad funds, building and technology enhancements, and many other priorities for the University. Connections are made, donations are processed, alumni records are maintained, events are coordinated, and alumni and donors are sent regular communications about University news and developments—all within the Office of Development and Alumni Relations. McKee Alumni Center
The McKee Alumni Center is named in honor of alumni, Harold "Mac"
McKee (BS '32) and Beulah McKee (BS '34). During their lives and through their estate, Mac
and Beulah McKee contributed more than $1 million to Western
Michigan University. They spent a lifetime as devoted public school educators
in Kalamazoo County.
The McKees supported several student scholarships with substantial
gifts to WMU, and they named the University as the sole beneficiary of
their estate. Harold (1907-1989) and Beulah (1907-1991) were not people
of extraordinary means, simply people of extraordinary generosity.
The Office of Development & Alumni Relations is proud to have the space named for
these two graduates, who made exemplary gifts of their time, talents,
and accumulated life savings to their alma mater.
