No Bad Days — Ice Duchenne

The WMU Hockey team is focusing efforts to raise awareness and money to support research that will find a cure for Duchene Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). This is a cause that is very personal to the Bronco Hockey family . You see, Louie the young son of our Associate Coach, Rob Facca, is afflicted with DMD.

From May through December of this year, Louie's grandpa, Bob, will join Jesse's Journey, a non-profit Foundation for gene & cell therapy, to support research and awareness for Louie and the 24,000 other boys with DMD. We hope you will be symbolically “Walking with Grandpa Bob” on his 2,500 mile trek from Quebec, Quebec around the great lakes to Winnipeg, Manitoba. Grandpa Bob is the father of our Associate Head Coach Rob Facca. Grandpa Bob’s goal is to boot Duchenne out of his grandson Louie’s life by raising $2.5 million on his walk for Louie. At present, there is no cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. However, the Broncos hope to help Grandpa Bob change that with money raised in this Hockey Cares Duchenne weekend. Will you help the Broncos help Grandpa Bob?

THANK YOU FOR HELPING THE BRONCOS GIVE DUCHENNE THE BOOT, and for giving hope to Louie and 24,000 young boys like him in the United States.

Bring your towel to every game! Let’s wave the Broncos on to victory!
